We expanded AXA XL’s existing email solution and resources through augmentation, focusing on enhancing email communications and resolving client issues with reports and dashboards. Throughout the project, Ingentive and AXA XL’s IT team collaborated within an Agile framework, conducting daily stand-ups and sprints to ensure efficient progress and timely delivery of solutions.
AXA XL Ltd have been working with Ingentive for the past seven years. Called upon to augment their own resources, this has resulted in a great partnership. We asked Bryan Edwards, VP IT Delivery Lead for Risk Consulting, about a recent project that was completed by the two teams.
The Key Challenges
Challenge (1)
The key challenge of this project was based on system email communications. The sending out of email concerning newly added documents to an account was extremely complex (looping through all users, do they have access to account & at what level, etc) the existing process was slow and often fell over, with no way of knowing where in the process (which users had been sent an email about new documents) it had stopped.
Challenge (2)
AXA XL had a client issue concerning reports and the current dashboards (miss matched reports to what was shown in the Dashboard). Our Ingentive team and AXA XL met to understand the issues. We analysed the issue, came back, and presented a list of options on how to resolve these issues. The recommendation from us was selected by the client. We then delivered this on time to the satisfaction of the client. Additionally, this solution provided, benefitted all our clients not just the client in question.
The Impact
For both challenges the impact by AXA XL would have been reputational damage (if they could not resolve the clients’ issues /concerns). As for our clients, they were very positive concerning the solutions provided.
Impact – Challenge (1)
Our Ingentive team streamlined the sending of emails when a new document was added to an account, so that process did not fall over, as well as introducing the much-needed logging and being able to restart the job, knowing where to pick up from so that duplicate emails where not sent.
The Impact:
AXA XL’s business and external clients were extremely pleased with the result.
Impact – Challenge (2)
We delivered great reports (downloadable), dashboards (with drill downs), that made our clients very happy.
The client also shared how pleased they were with the work and calibre of resources provided by us.
During both project lifecycle, we worked with AXA XL’s IT team in an Agile methodology, having daily stand ups and sprints. Both teams worked well together. Both the Risk Consulting IT & business teams gave accolades to our Ingentive team on our professionalism.
The Result
AXA XL expressed that what they found most impressive was the quality of resources and the flexibility from us. Our project management team were adaptable to the changing demands, often getting the team to work on new items while the changing paperwork (The Statement of Work) followed.
“Ingentive partnered with AXA XL and were not just an “order taker”. Ingentive would always come to the table with great solutions, even if it meant that the Statement of Work would get descoped or reduced. It was always what is right for our business not the revenue stream.
I was comfortable with having Ingentive representing the AXA XL IT team to the client, presenting the solutions, and delivering. All members of Ingentive’s team are a pleasure to work with and very professional a great company to augment my IT team!”
